Regency College actively fosters a culture that prioritizes mental well-being, physical fitness, and resilience. The highlight of the Yoga Day celebration was an engaging yoga session conducted by Ms. Swapna from Addlife’s Holistic Wellness Centre, Banjara Hills.
More than 60 final-year students and faculty members participated in the session, which focused on improving flexibility, concentration, balance, and inner peace. Participants practiced nearly 20 yoga postures, including the widely acclaimed Surya Namaskar.
The session concluded with guided breathing exercises such as Nadi Shodhan Pranayama (Alternate Nostril Breathing), Bhastrika Pranayama (Bellows Breathing), and Bhramari Pranayama (Bee Breathing), helping participants enhance relaxation, mental focus, and emotional well-being.
Expert Insights on Holistic Living
In addition to the yoga session, Ms. Swapna and Mr. Jangilwad Raju conducted an informative session on holistic living. They shared practical insights on maintaining disciplined daily routines, adopting healthy eating habits, managing stress effectively, and experiencing the long-term benefits of regular yoga practice.
As per the press release, the speakers emphasized that hospitality professionals can significantly benefit from yoga, as it strengthens both personal well-being and professional excellence.

Adding a unique culinary dimension to the celebration, the Cuchillos Club (Gastronomy Club) curated a nutritious millet-based Sattvic breakfast that reflected the principles of balanced nutrition and healthy living.
The thoughtfully designed menu included:
- Fresh seasonal fruits such as papaya, watermelon, muskmelon, and mango
- Steamed Gujarati-style dhokla served with fresh mint chutney
- Millet khichdi accompanied by chilled curd and spicy mango pickle
- Traditional Andhra-style Dibba Rotti served with Bombay chutney and sweet Cheruku Panakam
- Fibre-rich ragi muffins
- Beetroot and coconut tea cake
- Jaggery Tres Leches, delicately sweetened with natural jaggery
- ABC Juice made with apple, beetroot, and carrot
- Fresh strawberry smoothie
- Cucumber, mint, and lemon-infused detox water
- Blueberry yogurt layered with homemade blueberry compote
Through this carefully curated breakfast, the college highlighted the important role that traditional and wholesome foods play in supporting overall health and wellness.

The event received valuable support from the Telangana State Tourism Department in association with Incredible India, the Yuva Tourism Club, and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
Ms. Netra Devang, Deputy Manager, Telangana Tourism, and Mr. Shashank Ramendra, Assistant Manager, Telangana Tourism, contributed yoga mats and T-shirts for participants. They also appreciated the college’s efforts to promote a wellness-oriented culture and encourage young people to embrace sustainable and healthy lifestyle practices.
