AIIMS Raipur Joins Hands with Sri Sathya Sai Health Trust for Academic Collaboration

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust to strengthen academic collaboration and cooperation in the healthcare sector.

The agreement aims to foster partnerships in healthcare education, training, and knowledge exchange, thereby enhancing institutional collaboration and capacity building.

MoU Formalised by Institutional Leaders

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. C. Sreenivas, Chairman of Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust, and Lieutenant General Ashok Jindal (Retired), Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of AIIMS Raipur.

As reported by pib.gov.in, the signing ceremony took place in the presence of several senior faculty members and administrative officials from the institute, reflecting the significance of the collaboration.

Several key academic and administrative leaders attended the event. Among them were:

  • Dr. Avinash Ingle, Dean (Examinations)
  • Lieutenant Colonel Dharamveer Singh Chauhan, Deputy Director (Administration)

Other officers and faculty members were also present during the signing ceremony.

Focus on Academic Exchange and Capacity Building

Through this agreement, both institutions plan to establish strong academic linkages and expand collaboration in multiple areas.

The partnership will facilitate academic exchange programmes, structured training initiatives, and capacity-building activities. In addition, the collaboration will encourage knowledge sharing, joint academic programmes, and professional development opportunities for healthcare professionals and students.

Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant General Ashok Jindal emphasised that partnerships with organisations committed to public welfare and healthcare service significantly enhance the outreach and impact of academic institutions.

He also acknowledged the contributions of the Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust in the healthcare sector. Furthermore, he expressed optimism that the collaboration could eventually expand to include research partnerships and advanced academic initiatives.

Welcoming the initiative, Dr. C. Sreenivas reaffirmed that the Trust’s mission is rooted in service, compassion, and holistic healthcare development.
