Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals has developed a DCGI-approved triple therapy combikit to treat Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in adults.
The treatment combines Clarithromycin 500 mg, Vonoprazan 20 mg and Amoxicillin 1,000 mg. Patients take the combination twice daily for 14 days.
Aims to Improve Treatment Convenience
Vonoprazan reduces stomach acid, while Clarithromycin and Amoxicillin work against the H. pylori bacteria. The infection can cause gastritis and peptic ulcers and is also linked to an increased risk of gastric cancer.
