A 62-year-old man successfully underwent robotic-assisted surgery for a tumour in his left kidney at Amor Hospitals and was discharged on the third postoperative day following a smooth recovery.
The patient, a Hyderabad resident, had experienced occasional abdominal pain. A routine evaluation and CT scan revealed a tumour in the left kidney. Following preoperative assessment, doctors performed a robotic left radical nephrectomy to remove the affected kidney.
Precision Surgery With SSI Mantra
As per the press release, the procedure was performed using the ‘Make in India’ SSI Mantra Robotic Surgical System, which enables surgeons to perform complex procedures through minimally invasive techniques with greater precision and control.

Following the procedure, the patient was mobilised early and recovered without major postoperative concerns. He was discharged on Day 3 and will continue regular follow-up as advised.
