Centre Aims to Reduce Patient Travel Burden
According to Apollo Hospitals, nearly 8,000 patients from Mumbai travel to Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai every year for advanced treatment. Many patients also undertake repeated visits during the course of their care.
As Apollo Navi Mumbai approaches its 10th anniversary in November, the hospital group launched the Dadar centre to improve accessibility to specialised healthcare services within Mumbai itself.
As reported by Express Healthcare, the company stated that the new facility is expected to reduce nearly 30 kilometres of travel per visit for patients requiring ongoing treatment. Consequently, patients will benefit from easier consultations, follow-ups, and continuity of care.
Apollo Highlights Commitment to Patient-Centric Care
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Anil D’Cruz said, “At Apollo, we believe advanced healthcare should not only be world-class, but also easier to access consistently. Over the years, thousands of patients from Mumbai have travelled to Navi Mumbai for specialised treatment, often multiple times during the course of care.”
He further added that the Dadar Centre reflects Apollo’s commitment to reducing the burden on patients by providing access to trusted specialists, advanced diagnostics, and integrated care pathways closer to home.
“This is not just an expansion of infrastructure, but an expansion of patient-centric care,” he said.
Facility to Benefit Patients Requiring Long-Term Treatment
Apollo Hospitals noted that the centre would particularly benefit oncology patients, individuals recovering after transplantation, and those managing chronic illnesses that require frequent hospital visits.
By bringing specialised care closer to patients, the hospital aims to improve convenience, reduce travel fatigue, and strengthen long-term treatment support.
