FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation has officially launched the FDR Go iQ in the United States—an advanced portable digital radiography (DR) system designed to deliver x-ray room-quality imaging directly at the patient’s bedside. Tailored for hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, the FDR Go iQ blends mobility, performance, and ease of use, setting a new benchmark in bedside diagnostic imaging.
“The FDR Go iQ marks a significant leap in portable imaging,” said Rob Fabrizio, Director of Strategic Marketing for Medical Imaging Systems at FUJIFILM. “Its slim profile, intuitive controls, and enhanced mobility allow technologists to perform high-quality imaging swiftly and safely, even in fast-paced clinical environments.”
Key Features that Enhance Workflow and Precision
FUJIFILM has engineered the FDR Go iQ with a variety of user-centric features designed to improve workflow efficiency and patient safety:
- A touchscreen display at the tube head enables immediate access to exam parameters, motion detection, and alignment guidance.
- The built-in 3D camera offers advanced positioning support and is upgrade-ready for future AI integrations.
- A smart charging system automatically powers detectors in storage, supporting long-term operational use.
- The system includes a 19-inch extra-large display for real-time image verification at the bedside.
- With a slim 22.5-inch width and weight of 970 pounds, the unit ensures optimized maneuverability in confined areas.
- 360-degree swivel casters and mark-free polyurethane wheels allow for smooth and silent movement.
- Integrated detector slots, lockable storage, and wipes/glove compartments streamline infection control and handling.
Advanced Imaging Technology for Superior Results
The FDR Go iQ pairs with Fujifilm’s FDR D-EVO III detectors. These ultra-lightweight, glass-free detectors are coated with the company’s exclusive Hydro AG™ antibacterial layer for enhanced hygiene.
These detectors also feature Irradiated Side Sampling (ISS)—a patented technology that acquires data on the patient-facing side of the circuitry. This boosts image sharpness, increases Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE), and reduces scatter and blur even at ultra-low radiation doses.
According to the FUJIFILM press release, the onboard console includes Dynamic Visualization™ II. This intelligent image-processing system automatically adjusts to anatomical structures and hardware, ensuring high-contrast, high-detail images with every scan.
Live Demonstrations at AHRA 2025
Healthcare professionals can experience the FDR Go iQ firsthand at the AHRA 2025 Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The event takes place August 3–5 in Las Vegas.
FUJIFILM continues to redefine portable imaging with the launch of the FDR Go iQ. It brings speed, clarity, and control to the point of care.
