Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao announced on Monday that the state government will recruit 195 specialist doctors on a contractual basis to address the shortage of specialists in government healthcare facilities.
The minister emphasized that the recruitment process will be transparent and merit-based, ensuring that qualified professionals are selected to strengthen healthcare services across the state.
Salary Structure for Specialist Doctors
To attract qualified candidates, the government has approved a structured remuneration package based on qualifications.
For districts other than Nuh, doctors with MBBS and diploma qualifications will receive ₹1 lakh per month. Meanwhile, specialists with MBBS along with MD, MS, or DNB qualifications will be paid ₹1.5 lakh per month.
Higher Incentives for Nuh District
Recognising the challenges in attracting specialists to certain regions, the government has approved higher remuneration for doctors posted in Nuh district.
Under this provision, doctors with MBBS and diploma qualifications will receive ₹1.5 lakh per month, while those holding MBBS with MD, MS, or DNB degrees will be paid ₹2 lakh per month. The enhanced pay aims to encourage specialists to serve in the district and improve healthcare accessibility.
Campaign to Dispose of Pending Tatima Cases
In a separate development, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini directed the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) to dispose of all pending tatima-related cases across the state on priority.
While presiding over a grievance redressal committee meeting in Gurugram on Monday, the chief minister noted that delays in resolving such matters often force citizens to make repeated visits to government offices. Moreover, unresolved cases can lead to unnecessary disputes, litigation, and administrative inefficiencies.
Therefore, he instructed the concerned authorities to launch a special, well-planned campaign to ensure the timely resolution of these cases.
Women Sarpanches Urged to Exercise Leadership
Meanwhile, Kaithal Deputy Commissioner Aparajita encouraged women sarpanches to recognise their constitutional authority and work confidently to promote holistic development in their villages.
While addressing a meeting at the Mini Secretariat, she stressed that elected representatives must ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible citizen.
Furthermore, the deputy commissioner reviewed records of several Gram Panchayats and directed village heads to conduct regular inspections of government schools, anganwadi centres, libraries, and community buildings to monitor their functioning and improve service delivery.
