Heartnet India Signs MoU with IIT Jodhpur Technology Park to Advance Healthcare and MedTech Innovation

Heartnet India, an IoT-based cardiac care solution, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Jodhpur Technology Park to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry and drive innovation in healthcare and MedTech.

Focus on AI, Diagnostics and MedTech

Under the partnership, both organisations will leverage their expertise in AI-powered healthcare solutions, medical devices and diagnostics, point-of-care technologies, and next-generation MedTech innovations. The collaboration aims to connect academic research at IIT Jodhpur with Heartnet India’s healthcare delivery experience, helping accelerate the transition of research and ideas into practical applications.

As healthcare increasingly adopts artificial intelligence, connected technologies, medical devices and data-driven decision-making, the partnership will focus on developing solutions that address real-world healthcare challenges. It will also emphasise both technological development and effective implementation.

Driving Practical Healthcare Innovation

As per the press release, Arindam Sen, Founder, Heartnet India, said that healthcare innovation becomes meaningful when research and technology move beyond laboratories to address challenges faced by patients and healthcare professionals. He added that the collaboration will enable both organisations to explore practical applications across AI, diagnostics, medical devices and MedTech while creating measurable value for healthcare.

Engaging Students in Cardiac Healthcare

The partnership follows a recent session hosted by the School of Management and Entrepreneurship (SME), IIT Jodhpur, as part of its “Visionary Voices” leadership series. During the session, Arindam Sen interacted with students on the evolving cardiac healthcare landscape, the role of technology in improving access to care and the importance of data-driven decision-making in identifying healthcare gaps.

Strengthening Academia-Industry Collaboration

The MoU marks a step towards building a stronger interface between healthcare, technology and academic research. Going forward, Heartnet India and IIT Jodhpur Technology Park will explore opportunities to translate research and innovative ideas into practical healthcare solutions and contribute to the evolving MedTech ecosystem.
