Mahindra University, Hyderabad, and Apollo Healthcare Academy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly offer Bachelor’s programs in Allied Health Sciences. This strategic collaboration seeks to tackle the rising shortage of allied health professionals in India and across the world by blending academic excellence with hands-on clinical training.
Programs Designed for High-Demand Specializations
The partnership will introduce programs in key disciplines such as Anesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Cardiovascular Technology. The initiative combines Mahindra University’s modern academic ecosystem with Apollo’s proven clinical expertise. It aims to produce practice-ready graduates who meet the healthcare industry’s evolving needs.
Ensuring Compliance and Global Recognition
As per the press release, the curriculum will strictly follow guidelines laid down by the National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Professionals (NCAHP). Students will undergo structured clinical rotations at Apollo Hospitals and affiliated healthcare centers, culminating in a comprehensive final-year internship. This ensures that graduates not only meet national standards but also remain competitive on the global stage.
Addressing a Growing Global Workforce Gap
The World Health Organization (WHO) highlights the acute shortage of allied health professionals worldwide. This gap is expected to widen as populations age and healthcare demand rises. This initiative directly responds to the global call for action. It prepares students who are skilled, confident, and job-ready from day one.
