“When Ayansh arrived, his oxygen levels hovered dangerously around 70–75%,” explained Dr. Garg, who has been treating him since infancy. “He had already undergone the first stage of treatment, the Glenn procedure, at six months old. The final stage—the Fontan—is traditionally done as open-heart surgery at this age, involving major risks like bleeding, infection, and extended recovery.”
