The upcoming Thane Civil Hospital is set to significantly enhance access to quality healthcare, according to Eknath Shinde. He stated that the new facility will serve as a major boon for citizens seeking affordable and advanced medical care.
State-of-the-Art Facilities and Capacity
The 900-bed hospital, located in the Tembhi Naka area, will feature modern infrastructure designed to meet growing healthcare demands. Notably, it will include a rooftop helipad to facilitate air ambulance services, thereby improving emergency response and critical care access.
Near Completion, Launch Expected Soon
As reported by TOI, officials confirmed that civil construction of the hospital has been completed. Currently, teams are finalising electrification and installing advanced medical equipment. These include MRI and CT scan units, along with chemotherapy and radiotherapy facilities. Consequently, the hospital is expected to become operational within the next three to four months.
Comprehensive Patient Support and Accessibility
Highlighting additional features, Dr. Kailas Pawar, Thane District Civil Surgeon, stated that the hospital will offer extensive parking facilities, accommodating approximately 450 cars and 1,200 two-wheelers. Moreover, the hospital will cater not only to Thane residents but also to patients from neighbouring Palghar district.
