The Sitaram Jaipuria Foundation (SJF) hosted the third edition of the Medical & Healthcare Excellence Awards, marking the birth centenary of Late Shri Sitaram Jaipuria. The foundation honoured distinguished medical professionals for their transformative contributions to healthcare and patient care across India.
This year, the foundation presented awards totalling INR 90 lakhs to doctors whose work continues to strengthen India’s healthcare ecosystem and inspire the broader medical community.
A Scientific Symposium and Awards Ceremony
The foundation organised the awards ceremony in New Delhi as part of the SJF Scientific Symposium and Awards Program. The day-long symposium commemorated the birth centenary of Late Shri Sitaram Jaipuria and brought together leading voices from the medical fraternity for discussions and knowledge exchange.
The symposium focused on the theme “Obesity, Diabetes, and Other Cardiometabolic Diseases.” Eminent doctors, researchers, and healthcare leaders participated in discussions on emerging challenges, innovations, and advancements in healthcare. The evening concluded with the Medical & Healthcare Excellence Awards ceremony, which celebrated individuals shaping the future of healthcare in India and beyond.
Leadership and Vision Behind the Initiative
Hosted by the Sitaram Jaipuria Foundation and chaired by Mr. Ashok Jaipuria, Chairman, SJF and Chairman & Managing Director, Cosmo First Ltd., the event reflected the foundation’s commitment to recognising medical excellence.
As per the foundation’s press release, the initiative builds on the humanitarian legacy of Late Shri Sitaram Jaipuria and aims to honour professionals who have made exceptional contributions to the advancement of healthcare.

The third edition witnessed strong participation, attracting 476 entries and 233 applications. This response highlighted the growing recognition of excellence within the healthcare sector.
Additionally, the event featured a special session titled “Celebrating Excellence: Featuring Previous Edition Awardees.” Distinguished doctors from earlier editions—Prof. (Dr) Raman Krishna Kumar, Dr Ashish Satav, Prof. (Dr) Jeyaraj Durai Pandian, and Prof. (Dr) Pratibha Singhi—shared insights from their professional journeys. They also discussed evolving challenges and opportunities in the medical and healthcare landscape.
