SRV Hospitals, Chembur, has launched its Advanced Robotic-Assisted Joint Replacement Centre of Excellence, equipped with the VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution. The initiative strengthens the hospital’s joint replacement programme by combining advanced technology, orthopaedic expertise and structured rehabilitation under the broader SRV Mobility Restoration Programme.
Hon’ble Shri Mangesh Kudalkar, Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, inaugurated the centre as the Guest of Honour. Medical professionals, civic representatives, community leaders and members of the SRV Hospitals leadership team attended the event.
Advanced Technology for Joint Replacement
The VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution provides surgeons with real-time information during knee replacement and supports personalised surgical planning based on each patient’s anatomy. The CT-free system does not require an additional pre-operative CT scan for surgical planning.
As per the press release issued by SRV Hospitals, the technology supports the surgeon’s decision-making, while clinical judgement remains central to patient selection and treatment planning.

SRV Hospitals has integrated robotic-assisted joint replacement into its Mobility Restoration Programme, which includes specialist evaluation, conservative treatment, surgery where clinically indicated, structured rehabilitation and follow-up care.
A multidisciplinary team comprising orthopaedic surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals supports patients from evaluation through recovery.
