Surya Hospitals, a leading healthcare network specialising in women and children’s care, has announced a major expansion plan involving a capital expenditure of Rs 80 crore during the current fiscal year.
The investment will primarily support the construction of a new healthcare facility in Kandivali while also enabling the expansion of its Santacruz centre with the addition of 55 new beds.
Expansion to Strengthen Women and Children’s Healthcare Services
With operations already established in Mumbai and Jaipur, and a new centre set to open in Pune, Surya Hospitals is now preparing for further expansion into Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Sharing details about the development, Dr. Bhupendra S Avasthi stated that the healthcare network recently added the ‘Amber Wing’ at its Santacruz facility. As a result, the centre’s total capacity has now crossed 250 beds dedicated exclusively to women and children’s healthcare.
Company Plans Ahmedabad Specialty Hospital
In addition to the ongoing projects, Dr. Bhupendra S Avasthi revealed plans to establish another specialty hospital in Ahmedabad.
As reported by devdiscourse, the hospital aims to make the new facility operational during the next fiscal year, thereby strengthening the group’s presence in western India and expanding access to specialised healthcare services.
Expansion Funded Through Internal Accruals
The healthcare network is financing the expansion entirely through internal accruals, reflecting the company’s strong financial position.
Furthermore, the planned investments underline Surya Hospitals’s continued focus on scaling its infrastructure and enhancing specialised care for women and children across multiple cities in India.
