122 Differently-Abled Individuals to Benefit from 3D-Printed Narayan Modular Limbs

Narayan Seva Sansthan, in association with Shri Radha Krishna Charitable Foundation USA, organized a mega free disability surgery screening, selection, and measurement camp for Japanese and German technology-based 3D-printed Narayan Modular Artificial Limbs at Nico Hall, Dadar (East), Mumbai, on Sunday. The initiative aims to help 122 differently-abled individuals lead more self-reliant and dignified lives.

Advanced Technology Brings New Hope

The institution’s expert doctors and Prosthetic and Orthotic (P&O) specialists conducted detailed assessments of patients’ physical condition, muscle control, balance, and mobility. Based on these evaluations, the team initiated the customized design process for artificial limbs tailored to individual needs.

The Narayan Modular Artificial Limb uses advanced Japanese and German engineering technology. Moreover, the limbs feature lightweight, durable, and high-strength components. The use of 3D-printed socket technology ensures precise fitting, which improves comfort, balance, and ease of movement for users. Compared to traditional prosthetics, these modular limbs are more ergonomic, lightweight, and long-lasting.

Customized Digital Measurement Process

Dr. Manas Ranjan Sahu explained that the digital measurement system enables specialists to develop customized limbs according to each beneficiary’s body structure. As a result, users experience fewer issues related to friction, pain, and imbalance. Consequently, they can walk and move more naturally and comfortably.
