UK-based digital mental healthcare company Care ADHD will open its first ADHD clinic in India in Bengaluru this October, marking its clinical entry into the country. The move follows the recent launch of the company’s 140-seat Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, highlighting its long-term commitment to India’s healthcare and technology sectors.
The GCC was inaugurated by Owen Richards, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Deputy High Commission Bengaluru. It will serve as Care ADHD’s global technology and innovation hub, housing engineering, data science, product development, and operations teams that support the company’s digital healthcare platforms worldwide.
Addressing India’s ADHD Care Gap
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) remains significantly underdiagnosed and undertreated in India despite studies reporting a high prevalence among adults. Care ADHD aims to bridge this gap by introducing its evidence-based clinical model, developed through years of delivering specialist ADHD services in the UK.
As per the press release, the Bengaluru clinic will offer comprehensive ADHD services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing care through digitally enabled platforms developed by the company’s Bengaluru technology team.
Mark Pattison, Chief Executive Officer of Care ADHD, said the company has rapidly expanded in Bengaluru within just 11 months, growing from a small office to a 140-seat centre. He added that the city has become one of the company’s two operational homes and plays a central role in its global strategy.
Strengthening UK-India Healthcare Collaboration
Care ADHD is regulated by the UK’s Care Quality Commission (CQC) and partners with the National Health Service (NHS) through its Right to Choose programme. The company delivers specialist ADHD care through an integrated digital-first model.
James Whitebread, Chief Technology Officer, said Bengaluru was chosen for its strong engineering talent and that the new clinic represents the next step in bringing the company’s proven clinical model closer to Indian patients.
Speaking at the GCC inauguration, Owen Richards said the initiative combines UK clinical expertise with India’s growing healthcare ecosystem, demonstrating how collaboration between the two countries can expand access to quality mental healthcare while creating skilled jobs in engineering, data, IT, cybersecurity, and clinical services.
