Wockhardt Hospitals marked International Women’s Day through its annual women’s empowerment initiative, “I Am Fearless: Her Health, Her Strength.” The campaign featured a series of health awareness activities and community outreach programmes designed to encourage women to prioritise their well-being.
The celebrations included expert-led sessions on neurological and mental health, a seed cycling workshop focused on hormonal balance, interactive games, and a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony. In addition, the initiative extended beyond hospital premises through health awareness talks and preventive health check-up camps aimed at educating women in surrounding communities about the importance of early detection and preventive care.
Expert Sessions Focus on Women’s Mental and Hormonal Health
As part of the programme, Dr. Sheetal Goyal, Consultant Neurologist, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, conducted an insightful session on mental well-being and neurological health in women. She highlighted the impact of stress and emotional health while also explaining the early neurological symptoms that women should not ignore.
Following this, the Dietetics Team led by Nazia Sheikh, Head of Dietetics, conducted an informative session on seed cycling. The session introduced participants to the concept and explained how simple dietary practices using natural seeds can help support hormonal balance and improve overall women’s health.
Month-Long Campaign Sees Wide Participation
The month-long campaign ran from 8 February to 6 March 2026 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 1,800 female staff members across Wockhardt Hospitals centres in Mumbai Central, Mira Road, Nagpur, and Rajkot.
As per the press release, the initiative brought together RMOs, doctors, nurses, administrative staff, housekeeping teams, and departmental associates. As a result, it created a unified platform to celebrate women while encouraging meaningful conversations around holistic health and well-being.
Community Outreach Promotes Preventive Healthcare
In addition to in-house activities, the campaign actively engaged with surrounding communities through doctor-led awareness sessions. These sessions focused on key health concerns affecting women, including anaemia, hormonal health, nutrition, stress management, lifestyle disorders, and early warning signs that women often overlook.
Through these outreach efforts, the hospital aimed to promote timely health-seeking behaviour while reinforcing the importance of preventive healthcare.
Leadership Emphasises Awareness and Empowerment
Zahabiya Khorakiwala, Managing Director, Wockhardt Hospitals Ltd., said,
“At Wockhardt Hospitals, women’s health extends beyond clinical treatment; it is about awareness, prevention, and empowerment. Through the ‘I Am Fearless’ campaign, we moved beyond symbolic celebration to create meaningful conversations around holistic well-being. When women are informed and confident about their health, families and communities become stronger.”
Similarly, Amiya Kumar Sahoo, HR Head, Wockhardt Hospitals Group, emphasised the organisation’s commitment to inclusivity.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment for women across all roles. By combining celebration with health awareness and community outreach, we strengthened both internal engagement and our social responsibility efforts,” he said.
Encouraging Women to Prioritise Their Health
Further highlighting the importance of the initiative, Dr. Virendra Chauhan, Centre Head, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, noted that women often prioritise the health of others over their own.
“Initiatives like ‘I Am Fearless’ encourage women to seek timely medical consultation, practise self-care, and stay aware of preventive health measures. Moreover, creating safe platforms for open conversations allows women to ask questions freely and take proactive steps towards their well-being,” he said.
Campaign Concludes with Celebratory Moment
The campaign concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony across centres. The celebration symbolised not only the spirit of Women’s Day but also Wockhardt Hospitals’ continued commitment to advancing women’s health awareness, preventive care, and empowerment within the community.
