Cloudnine Hospitals, one of India’s leading maternity and pediatric care chains, is in advanced negotiations to acquire Apollo Cradle and Children’s Hospital (ACCHL) in a deal estimated at Rs 1,500 crore.
Two weeks ago, Cloudnine initiated the due diligence process and signed an exclusivity agreement with Apollo Cradle. The acquisition attracted interest from other players as well, including Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH), backed by TPG Growth, and domestic private equity firm Kedaara Capital.
Apollo Cradle: A Strong Nationwide Network
Apollo Cradle, a division of Apollo Specialty Hospitals, operates 13 hospitals with a total of 363 beds across key cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Amritsar, and Uttar Pradesh. The network specializes in maternity and infant care, offering comprehensive services across India.
Cloudnine’s Expanding Footprint
Currently, Cloudnine manages 40 locations in major Indian cities. In FY25, the hospital network, operated by Kids Clinic India, opened seven new facilities. The chain plans to launch another six to seven hospitals in the current fiscal year, reinforcing its rapid growth strategy.
Transformative Acquisition to Dominate the Market
If the acquisition of Apollo Cradle is approved, Cloudnine Hospitals will become India’s largest integrated maternity and pediatric care network. As reported by moneycontrol.com, the deal will significantly expand its geographic reach and strengthen market dominance, positioning Cloudnine as the undisputed leader in maternal and child healthcare services nationwide.
