Gandhinagar Public Health Centre Launches India’s First AI-Powered Preventive Clinic

Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation introduced India’s first AI-powered preventive clinic at a public health centre, marking a significant step toward strengthening primary healthcare through technology. The initiative integrates rapid diagnostics with advanced screening tools, enabling early detection and proactive health management at the community level.

AI Integration Enhances Primary Care Services

The clinic has been established within an existing Ayushman Arogya Mandir in collaboration with Eros Wellness. It offers more than 30 AI-supported health screenings, delivering results in under five minutes. As a result, patients can receive faster diagnoses, while healthcare providers gain access to data-driven insights that improve treatment planning and outcomes.

Supporting India’s Preventive Healthcare Vision

The initiative aligns closely with the broader goals of Ayushman Bharat, which aims to transform healthcare delivery from reactive treatment to preventive care. Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are being developed as comprehensive primary care hubs, focusing on early diagnosis, routine screenings, and community-based health interventions. By embedding AI into these centres, the government is accelerating its push toward a more proactive and accessible healthcare system.

Leveraging AI for Early Risk Detection

The clinic uses advanced technologies such as machine learning and predictive analytics to identify potential health risks even before symptoms appear. This shift enables timely interventions, reduces disease burden, and lowers long-term healthcare costs. Gandhinagar Mayor Meera Patel emphasised the significance of the initiative, stating that integrating AI and preventive diagnostics into public healthcare infrastructure will empower citizens with early health awareness while strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery.

A Scalable Model for Global Expansion

According to Manju Lulla, Founder of Eros Wellness, the clinic represents more than just a local innovation. She described it as India’s first sovereign AI-powered preventive healthcare clinic and the starting point of a globally scalable health intelligence platform. She further highlighted that the model has the potential to expand beyond India into regions such as the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe, thereby positioning India as a leader in AI-driven healthcare innovation.

The launch of the AI-powered preventive clinic in Gandhinagar signals a transformative shift in public healthcare delivery.
