Global Healthcare Stakeholders to Gather in Dubai for World Healthcare Week 2027

World Healthcare Week will debut in Dubai from 25–29 January 2027, creating a connected global platform that unites healthcare trade, technology and leadership under one umbrella. The expanded event will bring together World Health Expo (WHX), WHX Tech and WHX Leaders, making it one of the most significant gatherings in the global healthcare calendar.

Organisers expect more than 95,000 attendees, 4,500 exhibitors and representatives from over 195 countries to participate across the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), Expo City Dubai and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Addressing Healthcare’s Most Pressing Challenges

As healthcare systems around the world face growing demand, workforce shortages and rapid technological advancements, World Healthcare Week aims to foster partnerships, innovation and strategic dialogue. By integrating healthcare trade, digital health innovation and global leadership into one connected week, the event will create opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange across the sector.

World Healthcare Week 2027 will be anchored by World Health Expo (WHX), the world’s largest international healthcare trade exhibition and conference. The event will also feature WHX Tech and the second edition of WHX Leaders. The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) will patronise all three events.

A Reflection of an Evolving Healthcare Landscape

The launch of World Healthcare Week highlights the increasingly interconnected nature of the healthcare industry. Today, technology, investment, policy and clinical practice influence one another more than ever before. By bringing together stakeholders from these sectors in one location, the event will create a unique environment for business growth, collaboration and innovation.

Moreover, the event arrives at a critical time for the healthcare sector. Chronic diseases account for nearly 80% of healthcare spending globally, while the World Health Organization estimates a shortage of 10 million healthcare workers by 2030. At the same time, governments across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) continue to accelerate investments in digital health, artificial intelligence and healthcare transformation.

In response to these challenges, World Healthcare Week will provide a platform where industry leaders can explore solutions and drive meaningful progress.

Dubai Strengthens Its Position as a Global Healthcare Hub

Dubai’s strategic location further enhances the significance of the event. Situated within an eight-hour flight of nearly two-thirds of the world’s population, the city has established itself as a leading global business hub and a bridge between East and West.

As per the press release, Dubai’s ability to bring together governments, healthcare providers, investors, innovators and multinational corporations at scale makes it an ideal destination to host a global healthcare event of this magnitude.

Industry Leaders Highlight the Need for a Connected Platform

Solenne Singer, Senior Vice President of Informa Markets, said healthcare innovation no longer happens in isolation. She noted that decisions shaping the future of healthcare increasingly emerge at the intersection of technology, policy, investment and clinical practice.

“World Healthcare Week reflects that reality by bringing together the people driving these conversations in one place and at one time,” Singer said.

She added that combining WHX, WHX Tech and WHX Leaders into a single connected week creates a unique global platform that brings together healthcare trade, technology and leadership on an unprecedented scale.

WHX Remains the Commercial Engine of the Week

WHX will take place from 25–28 January 2027 across DEC, Expo City and DWTC. Previously known as Arab Health, the event will celebrate its 52nd edition and is expected to attract more than 4,200 exhibitors and 90,000 attendees from over 195 countries.

As the commercial cornerstone of World Healthcare Week, WHX will connect healthcare businesses, policymakers and scientific communities from around the world.

WHX Tech to Showcase Digital Health Innovation

Meanwhile, WHX Tech will run from 27–29 January 2027 at DWTC. Organised in partnership with HIMSS, the event will bring together more than 5,000 leaders, innovators and investors from the digital health ecosystem.

WHX Leaders to Shape Future Health Policy

WHX Leaders will take place on 28 January 2027 at DWTC following its successful regional debut in 2026. This invitation-only forum will convene more than 15 Ministers of Health and over 300 global healthcare leaders.

Participants will focus on shaping the next decade of global health policy, investment strategies and healthcare system design.

Looking Ahead to 2027

Reflecting on the success of the 2026 events, Singer emphasised the importance of bringing the global healthcare community together in Dubai.

“The success of our 2026 events demonstrated the value of uniting the global healthcare community in Dubai,” she said. “World Healthcare Week provides a platform that reflects the way healthcare is changing by connecting trade, technology and leadership.”

She added that the organisers look forward to welcoming the industry back to Dubai in January 2027 for a week of industry-defining discussions, new partnerships and meaningful progress across the global healthcare sector.
