Mumbai-based Hariva Meditech Private Limited has proposed an investment of ₹200 crore to establish a manufacturing unit at the Ujjain medical devices park. The company plans to manufacture critical care and medical technology products, including continuous blood glucose monitoring systems, vacuum-assisted wound closure systems, consumables, and anaesthesia products.
Land Allocation and Employment Potential
As reported by TOI, to move forward, Hariva Meditech has requested approximately 20 acres of land for the project. The proposed unit is expected to generate employment for around 650 people. Notably, the relevant committee has already reviewed the proposal and granted an in-principle approval for land allotment, paving the way for further progress.
Multiple Units Set to Begin Operations
Meanwhile, the Ujjain medical devices park is witnessing significant momentum. As many as eight medical device manufacturing units are set to commence operations during the current financial year. These units will produce a wide range of products such as catheters, syringes, diagnostic kits, implants, and blood collection devices.
Collectively, these upcoming units are expected to attract investments of approximately ₹254 crore and create employment opportunities for nearly 2,400 individuals.
Industry Momentum Gains Pace
Highlighting the rapid progress, MPIDC Executive Director Rajesh Rathod stated that, in addition to new proposals like Hariva Meditech, several companies that have already secured land are in advanced stages of setting up their facilities. Consequently, many of these units are likely to become operational within this financial year, leading to tangible production output and job creation on the ground.
Key Companies and Their Manufacturing Focus
Furthermore, several companies have outlined their specific manufacturing plans within the park. For instance, CliniSupplies India Pvt Ltd will manufacture catheters and related devices, while VRM Molecular and Nuclear Medicines Pvt Ltd will focus on specialised medical formulations.
Similarly, HC Lifeline will produce syringes and cannula, and KRM Healthcare will manufacture diagnostic kits. In addition, Microgen Healthcare plans to develop infection control products, wound care solutions, and orthopaedic implants. Maple Technologies will focus on women’s healthcare devices, whereas Shreeji Polymers Medical Devices will produce insulin delivery devices and spray pumps. Finally, Bioline India will manufacture blood collection systems and blood bags, thereby strengthening the ecosystem within the park.
