Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS), in association with Shri Radha Krishna Charitable Foundation, will organise a mega free disability corrective surgery screening, selection, and 3D-printed Narayan Modular Artificial Limb Measurement Camp in Mumbai on Sunday, May 17.
As per the press release, the camp will take place at Nico Hall, Naigaon Cross Road, near Wadala Udyog Bhavan, Dadar (East), Mumbai, Maharashtra. While the inauguration ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM, registration and medical examinations will continue from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Advanced Artificial Limbs Developed with Japanese and German Technology
During the camp, a specialised team of orthotists and prosthetists will examine beneficiaries and take precise measurements for advanced Narayan Modular Artificial Limbs developed using Japanese and German technology. These artificial limbs are designed to be lightweight, durable, and highly functional.
Moreover, beneficiaries whose measurements are taken during the camp will receive customised modular artificial limbs free of cost at a follow-up distribution camp expected to be held approximately two months later.
NSS Aims to Restore Mobility and Independence
Mumbai Branch President Mahesh Agarwal said that the institution’s primary objective is to help differently-abled individuals who have lost their hands or legs due to accidents, illness, or other reasons regain dignity, mobility, and self-reliance.
He added that the organisation has remained committed to humanitarian service for the past four decades under the inspiration and guidance of Padma Shri awardee founder Kailash ‘Manav’.
Furthermore, he stated that the large-scale camp has been organised to benefit the maximum number of differently-abled individuals from Mumbai and nearby regions.
Free Corrective Surgeries Also Available
In addition to artificial limb measurements, the camp will also identify individuals who require corrective surgeries. Selected beneficiaries will receive free surgical treatment at the institution’s state-of-the-art hospital in Udaipur.
NSS Appeals to Beneficiaries to Participate
NSS President Prashant Agarwal urged differently-abled individuals to take advantage of the free camp. He requested attendees to carry their Aadhaar Card, Disability Certificate, and two passport-size photographs for registration and verification purposes.
