Quantum, a doctor-led pioneer in corporate and industrial healthcare, has launched its Doctor911 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance network across India. This major initiative marks a significant step toward building the country’s next-generation emergency response ecosystem. The rollout begins with a pilot deployment at Oberoi Mall, Goregaon, in collaboration with Oberoi Realty. Over the next two years, Quantum plans to introduce 300 fully equipped ALS ambulances across 20 metropolitan regions.
Strengthening Emergency Response at Oberoi Mall
Doctor911 introduced its ALS ambulance service at Oberoi Mall, Mumbai, under the leadership of Dr. Narendra Vankar and Dr. Bhavya Vankar. The service ensures rapid, high-quality medical assistance with a turnaround time of under 10 minutes. This speed is made possible by Quantum’s emergency command system and its extensive network of over 200 Occupational Health Centres (OHCs) operating across corporate, industrial, and retail environments.
Addressing India’s Emergency Ambulance Gap
India continues to face a severe shortage of emergency ambulances compared to global standards. Current estimates show that the country operates only 18,000–20,000 ambulances for a population of 1.4 billion. In contrast, the United States runs over 50,000 ambulances for just 330 million people. This disparity highlights the urgent need to scale India’s emergency-care capabilities, a gap that Doctor911 aims to bridge.
Expanding the Doctor911 Network Globally
As part of its international strategy, Doctor911 is expanding operations into the UAE and exploring opportunities in the US. This global expansion is supported by MediLocker, Quantum’s secure, portable health-data platform that ensures patients can access their medical records anywhere. As a result, Doctor911 can deliver seamless and informed care for employees, travellers, and NRI families across borders.
“Doctor911 is evolving into a global connected-care platform. With our expansion into the UAE and exploratory entry into the US, our aim is to ensure coordinated, high-quality care for Indians and NRIs wherever they are,” said Dr. Narendra Vankar, Founder & CEO, Quantum.
Strengthening Workplace Healthcare Across India
As per the press release, Quantum continues to enhance India’s workplace healthcare ecosystem, a framework governed by the Factories Act, 1948, which mandates employers to protect worker health, safety, and the environment. Corporate India increasingly acknowledges that “the cost of non-compliance is 10x the cost of compliance.”
To meet this need, Quantum has built a cross-functional corporate health team supported by standardised SOPs and intelligent digital software. These innovations transform traditional OHCs into smart clinics capable of delivering faster, more precise, and data-backed healthcare services.
Enhancing Corporate Medical Readiness
“For corporates, factories, and large industrial operations, immediate medical readiness is critical. Through our OHC network, on-site medical teams, and now ALS ambulances under Doctor911, we are elevating workforce health and emergency response,” said Dr. Bhavya Vankar, Co-Founder & Director, Quantum. She added that experienced corporate doctors conduct all training and data analysis. This approach offers organisations deeper insights into employee health and wellbeing.
