AIIMS Delhi has launched a major health-education initiative in collaboration with the IIT Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Park (IIT Bhubaneswar REP). Under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two institutions will jointly implement innovative programmes focused on mental health and modern medical training.

Two Flagship Projects to Transform Medical Training

As part of this collaboration, AIIMS Delhi and IIT Bhubaneswar REP will roll out two pioneering projects designed to enhance learning outcomes and workforce wellbeing.

AASHA-HOPE to Strengthen Mental Health Training

As per the IIT Bhubaneswar press release, the first project, AASHA-HOPE (Manasa Santulan), will focus on training postgraduate doctors in mental health. It will use advanced, AI-driven habit-building tools to improve both clinical practice and self-care. Through this approach, the programme aims to support doctors in managing stress while delivering better patient care.

‘Everyday Hero’ to Gamify Healthcare Worker Training

In parallel, the second project, Everyday Hero – Gamification of Training for Healthcare Workers, will apply gamification techniques to make medical training more engaging, practical, and outcome-oriented. By transforming conventional learning methods, the initiative seeks to boost participation and skill retention among healthcare workers.

Nationwide Impact on Medical Education

Together, these initiatives are expected to benefit all AIIMS campuses and more than 75,000 postgraduate doctors across India. Ultimately, the collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening the country’s healthcare workforce and ushering in a new phase of innovation in medical education.
