More than 1,000 children participated in the fourth edition of ‘Bachchon Ka Maati-IV’ at The Millennium School, Noida, promoting preventive health, hygiene and healthy living. Organised by Maati Trust in association with Illness to Wellness (ITW), the event combined health awareness with fitness, creativity and value-based learning.
Promoting Healthy Habits
The programme focused on hygiene, nutrition, physical activity, obesity, air pollution and the impact of social media on health. As per the press release, encouraging preventive health awareness among children can help establish healthy habits early in life.
A key highlight was the Illness to Wellness handwashing and hygiene activity, led by Colonel Sanjay Chaturvedi. Children also participated in yoga, meditation, crafts, games and other interactive activities.
Encouraging Children to Lead by Example
Mr. Anil Rajput, Chairperson, Advisory Council, Illness to Wellness Foundation, said preventive healthcare should begin at home and in schools. He added that children who learn healthy habits can become wellness ambassadors within their families and communities.
The event also featured a prize distribution ceremony attended by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Senior Member of Parliament and former Minister, and Mritunjay Pratap Singh, Director, RVNL, along with other dignitaries.
Celebrating Young Talent
Children participated in drawing, quiz, dance, speech and essay competitions. Kothari International School won the Maati-Relaxo Trophy for Best Performing School.
Overall, the initiative demonstrated how combining health education with creativity and physical activity can help children adopt healthier lifestyles and spread preventive health messages within their communities.
