PharmEasy has launched its monsoon health awareness campaign, ‘You Think It’s Viral’, to encourage people to stop dismissing every fever as “just viral.” The campaign urges individuals to avoid self-diagnosis and self-medication and instead seek timely medical consultation and diagnostic testing.
According to PharmEasy, one in three fever cases may be linked to serious illnesses such as dengue, malaria, chikungunya, or typhoid, citing Thyrocare’s comprehensive Fever Package testing data collected between 2023 and 2025. Consequently, the campaign aims to shift public behaviour toward early diagnosis, preventive care, and appropriate treatment.
Addressing Monsoon Health Risks
Every monsoon, fever cases surge across India. However, many people continue to rely on home remedies or over-the-counter medicines without proper diagnosis, delaying treatment until symptoms worsen. Such delays can increase the risk of complications, including low platelet count and blood pressure in dengue or intestinal bleeding in typhoid.
As per the press release, PharmEasy will run the campaign across social media throughout the monsoon season, focusing on fever prevention, vaccination, timely testing, and treatment. The content will feature doctors, nutrition experts, influencers, and user-generated content creators to make reliable health information more accessible and engaging.
Expert Guidance and Awareness
The campaign will include expert insights from Dr. Sudarshan Lamture and Dr. Pratishtha Shrivastav, who will discuss the importance of diagnostic tests, common monsoon illnesses that resemble viral fever, and essential care measures. Nutrition expert Sakshi will also share dietary recommendations to support gut health and recovery during monsoon-related illnesses.
Additionally, through relatable storytelling and creator-led content, the campaign encourages people to recognise symptoms early, consult a doctor promptly, and undergo timely testing instead of relying on assumptions. It also shares practical home care advice, including staying hydrated, getting adequate rest, monitoring key health parameters as advised by doctors, and consuming light, nutritious meals.
Expanded Fever Care Services
Alongside the awareness campaign, PharmEasy has expanded its end-to-end fever care services. The platform offers online consultations with general physicians, diagnostic packages for fever-related illnesses, home sample collection, digital reports, and medicine delivery with valid prescriptions. It has also introduced the Fever Watch Dashboard, which provides real-time fever risk updates by city to help users stay informed during the monsoon season.
Company Statement
Commenting on the initiative, Gaurav Verma, Chief Business Officer at PharmEasy, said many people continue to dismiss fever as “just viral,” even though it could indicate a more serious illness. He emphasised that early doctor consultation and timely testing can significantly improve recovery outcomes. He added that PharmEasy aims not only to improve access to medicines and diagnostics but also to encourage a more proactive approach to healthcare.
Promoting Timely Action
Through the ‘You Think It’s Viral’ campaign, PharmEasy seeks to raise awareness about the risks of ignoring persistent fever during the monsoon. Ultimately, the company hopes to encourage people to seek medical advice early and undergo timely testing rather than relying on self-diagnosis.
